Hello!
My name is Sarah Warsaw. Welcome! Last year, in addition to teaching US History, I coordinated National Honor Society, Mr. Thunder, and AP Testing. This year, I am very happy to take on the role as Activities Director, teach our Principles of Leadership class and continue to teach US History.
I grew up in Bend but lived up in Portland, OR for several years. I love the city, but I'm happy to be back in beautiful Central Oregon. I attended the University of Portland, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and German Studies. After graduation, I worked at the German-American School of Portland and as an English teacher in Berlin, Germany as part of the Fulbright program. I've lived in Austria and Germany, and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to travel all over Europe. I went back to the University of Portland (GO PILOTS!) for my Masters of Arts in Teaching. I've worked with both middle school and high school students in multiple subjects. I enjoy snowboarding and hand-knitting floor rugs (not at the same time), and I'm looking forward to a great year here at Summit High School.
Please feel free to email me with any questions at: [email protected] OR you can leave a voicemail at my classroom extension at 541.355.4039 or my office extension at 541.355.4103, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
