2. Begin review activity: Cause and Effect INFO LINK HERE
A) In groups, you will be assigned one major milestone in early 1900s American Imperialism.
B) Each group will be responsible for reading their assigned document and creating a small poster
The poster will include: 1) Title and Date of event
2) 1-2 sentences defining event
3) A list of causes and a list of effects (how/why did this event occur and what happened because of it)
Once all the groups are finished, every student will complete an "art gallery" walk taking notes on each poster/event.

Begin President Speech: Imagine you are Theodore Roosevelt, and write a speech justifying the building of the Panama Canal. Be specific in your reasons--remember to include counterarguments and rebuttals. You will need at least 3 claims, 3 counterclaims, and 3 rebuttals.
This will need to be at least one page and will be due on Monday, November 10th. You will need a paper copy of it!! No exceptions. You can type it or hand-write it, as long as it's neat. There is a printer available to you in the library.
